Anna Hazare rejects Arvind Kejriwal's invitation to join indefinite fast

Earlier it was thought that Anna may accept the Kejrival's invitation to join his march 23rd fast .(see here)

However, yesterday(March 21) Anna cleared that  he won't participate in the protest as he has nothing to do with party politics. "We have already said that we are not with any party and we are not going to fight elections. I am not going on March 23 (fast of Kejriwal)," he said.
Addressing the media, he also  announce a nationwide tour from March 31 from Jallianwala Bagh, he said Mr Kejriwal had visited him earlier this week to seek his blessings before his fast and invite him.
Interestingly,  before this rejection by Anna himself, sources from both the sides i.e ANNA(viz Jantantra Morcha) and Arvind(viz Aam Admi Party) have confidence over Anna's joining the Kejrival's fast..(see here)

Anna Hazare may attend Arvind Kejriwal protest

Six months after split. Arvind Kejriwal met activist Anna Hazare on Monday and invited him to attend his indefinite fast starting in New Delhi on March 23.

While sources close to Hazare said he is likely to attend the AAP protest as he will be in Delhi during that time, an aide of Kejrwal claimed that "Anna has agreed to fast on March 23, wherever he is".

Speaking to the media in Ralegan Siddhi after his meeting with Hazare, Kejriwal said: "I had come to seek Annaji's blessing for my upcoming fast. To me he is like a father and a mentor. I have also invited him to attend the Delhi protest. He said that he supports my agitation and will attend it if his schedule allows him."

Anna on his support to the fast said "I am not supporting politics. Today, people in Delhi have to pay a huge amount for electricity, water and cooking gas. This has made their lives difficult. That's why I am considering attending the protest organised by Kejriwal,"

Editor: We must admit that both Anna and Arvind aim the same, only their manner of achieving it is different. It will be a good thing if Anna supports Kejrival's protest. Both the political and non-political warriors need each other's support to survive the opposition and attacks by the corrupts.

Anna Hazare threatens to go on hunger strike again

Anna Hazare has threatened to go on an indefinite hunger strike if the central government failed to implement Jan Lokpal bill before parliamentary elections.

While speaking at convention organized by Anti-Corruption Movement Committee, Gadag at Vidyadana Education Society ground in Gadag on Tuesday,he alleged that govt is aware if a strong lokpal bill is passed thousand of pooiticians will go to jail.That's why tgry don' want to pass it

He alleged that government is just giving false assurance of implementing it

He threatend that If there is no positive step by the government to implement this bill before parliamentary election, hewill go on hunger strike again at Ramalila maidan in Delhi to bring pressure on the government to implement this bill in letter and spirit.

Kejrival confirmed as Wharton speaker

Arvind Kejriwal has been officially confirmed as a keynote speaker at the troubled Wharton India Economic Forum, 10 days after organisers cancelled Gujarat
 chief minister Narendra Modi’s address following opposition from faulty members.

Kejrival' has been added to the Wharton's website saying that AAM ADMI PARTY'S founder will speak via video conference.
The annual student-run conference at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania’s business school is scheduled to be held on March 23.

Arvind Kejriwal may replace Narendra Modi at Wharton(B.School)'s event

Arvind Kejriwal has been invited to replace Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the keynote speaker at an event at the Wharton Business School later this month(March 22-23)

Main Points

•  Modi was scheduled to deliver his speech via video-conference on March 22-23.   Pressure from the management and alumni resulted in his removal from the programme. 
• Modi was dropped last night as the main speaker at the Wharton India Economic Forum, largely because of pressure from the management and alumni.
• 24 hours later, one of the main sponsors of the conference, the Adani Group, decided to withdraw its funding.Maybe to show its loyalty towards Modi
•  Wharton confirmed that the Adani Group had decided it would no longer be a "platinum sponsor. Sources said the conference is not in jeopardy because there are five other sponsors sharing the costs.

REPORT(current)Today(4,March,2013) Arvind Kejriwal has announced a fast starting March 23 to protest against electricity prices in Delhi. Kejriwal has accused the Delhi government, headed by Sheila Dikshit, of conspiring with power companies to over-charge customers.
He said that improvements in the distribution of power have accrued major savings for power companies, but these are not being passed on to consumers.

"This is a fast meant to awaken people, to help them remove their fears. I urge them not to pay bills. They may be afraid they will be sent to jail, their power connection snapped. If you are afraid, AAP (Aam Admi Party) volunteers will help you restore your connection. If you are afraid, do not pay the bills at least for one month. No one can snap your connections for not paying the bill for one month," he said.


Editor's View: Many people may say that this is Kejrival's political stunt.
So consider this, if politicians can do stunts on basis of MONEY, LIQUOR, RELIGION,CASTE, LAPTOPS etc. Compared to that Arvind by raising problems faced by public, is doing a much pure and decent stunt!

Aam Aadmi Party pin-points financial Budget (2013-2014) errors:Full Report

Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday alleged that the Budget presented by the finance minister(FM) P Chidambaram was a "clever attempt to mislead" public ahead of elections as it offered little remedy for the key problems facing the Indian economy.

Party pin-pointed some problems the Budget as follows:-

• AAP alleged that current crisis required the government to stimulate domestic investment by encouraging consumption from below; instead the FM remained focused on Foreign investors. 
•  In 2012-13 expenditure on agriculture and allied activities, rural development, irrigation and flood control and welfare of ST has actually gone down compared to the actual expenditure of the previous year.A similar comparison of the expenditure on health and education shows a marginal increase that barely keeps pace with inflation,
• Controlling inflation required expansion of PDS and reinforced subsidies on energy and focus on increasing agricultural output in pulses and oil-seeds; instead the government has relied on hope.

• Party also criticized the action of FM to impose an additional tax(10%) on the country's wealthiest(people with an annual income of more than 1 corore rupees ) According to party,since such wealthy people are limited, it would affect only 42,000 super rich who fall in the category and bring very small gains for the country.
   This small gain would be more than made up by the generous increase in the tax exemption, mostly for the well-offs and the corporates, the party alleged. 
  “On one hand, they say they have levied ten per cent surcharge on people earning more than Rs one crore annually. On the other, government has given huge tax benefits to such people. This is nothing but misleading people.” said  Yogendra Yadav (AAP,member).
