Anna's reply to their questions

In his latest blog 'Politicians raise some questions and my answer to them', Hazare however sought to blunt criticism that he was against Parliament by contending that only the House can make laws and there was no doubt about it.
But, he reminded, the Lokpal Bill came in the Parliament for passage eight times and it could not clear the hurdles.
  • "Who is responsible for this? People are the masters of this country and they have sent their servants to Parliament. When servants don't make laws, then masters have the right to ask why Jan Lokpal Bill was not passed," he said.
  • "Lawmakers and bureaucrats are servants of people. But their 'who are you to question us' attitude is an insult to Constitution," Hazare said.
  • "Now India is a democratic country. Now if you want to frame laws, then you have to take along experienced people while drafting the laws. Then it should go to Parliament. I hope that people in politics understand this," he said.

Politicians are fooling public

Politicians of whichever party and whatever house are fooling the general public on the lokpal matter. When the lokpal was to present in parliament then Congress  played the hurdle, now when BJP’s support is needed in Rajaya Shaba then it is also showing its true colors. These parties have one thing in common due to which
they don’t want lokpal alive in system, i.e. CORRUPTION.

Why they are fooling public

  • Because if lokpal will come then the politicians who easily and freely indulge in corruption will suffer harshly. Corrupt Politicians will be easy to detain and terminate. So politicians of all parties are showing resistance towards lokpal directly (in front of media) and indirectly (hidden from media and people)
  • In presence of lokpal politicians will not be able to become rich(by looting people’s money).
  •   Political indiscipline will not be tolerated, and our politicians are addicted to such indiscipline. e.g. watching pornographical  films in assemblies
  • ‘Action on the Spot’ will be the policy of Lokpal, hence politicians will not be able to bribe and settle down the matter

How they are fooling us

  • By turning the attention from lokpal to ‘Blame and Defame politics’
  • Government brought an extremely weak lokpal bill, which cannot even investigate political and business class, and now it expects to satisfy people by bringing that lokpal

  • By not giving lokpal bill enough time in parliament, e.g. lokpal was  intentionally discussed on last day of monsoon season, due to which it got chocked in Rajaya Sabha
  • By giving false support to lokpal. E.g. BJP gave support to lokpal until it was presented in parliament and now it is turning its back to lokpal by digging about Lokayukta matter.

  • All the MPs weather of BJP or congress or of any other party are showing different stands before media but actually oppose lokpal and are planning to prevent its implementation somehow

What can be done?

  • People should differentiate between the real truth and made up controversies by politicians. Politicians are coming with different fake materials before media to slow down the lokpal bill quest
  • Most of the politicians laugh or yell at the lokpal or at those who are demanding lokpal, so people should reject such politicians from their vote list

  • Both BJP and congress are playing with Lokpal for their own benefits , so a new party and new candidates should be voted, such party that will seriously and honestly discuss lokpal in Parliment

Differences remain on Lokpal Bill; no consensus on creation of Lokayuktas

In All party meeting on March 23 the difference on the Lokayukta matter remained stagnant. Opposition is saying that a forced Lokayukta on sates would destroy federal structure and right of state governments.Parties like  BJP,  CPM  and Trinamool  are saying that Lokayukta bill prepared by states will go in vein if  center's  Lokayukta bill is imposed on them. .{ Lokayukta in simple words is state-level Lokpal/corruption watchdog}

So
Lokpal Bill is likely to be amended to remove the portion on creation of Lokayuktas in states. All-party meeting saw the entire Opposition and a section of UPA - Trinamool Congress, DMK, NCP and the National Conference - opposing the Lokayukta provision in the bill.  The meeting was attended by leaders of 20 parties, all of whom are members of the Rajya Sabha, besides the prime minister and finance minister Pranab Mukherjee

With the first half of the budget session of Parliament drawing to a close on March 30,
there will be very little time to take up a discussion on the bill in the Upper House, especially as there are still major differences on contentious clauses. It is expected that a resumption of the debate will, therefore, be taken up only during the post-recess period.
Editor's View: All the parties are now showing their true colors, weather BJP or congress. Both opposition and majority are putting hurdles on the implementation of the bill. Opposition like bjp demanded and supported a center Lokpal but when it came to sate level lokpal(i.e lokayukta) then they are showing bad faces, bjp is doing this because is more prominent in states and hence its corrupt deeds may come before people after passage of a state level lokpal.
All the politician class is same, when they have to pass a increase in their salary then there is a consensus but when they have to pass an anti-corruption bill then there is two sided and foggy attitude.SHAME ON US that we elected such non-sense

Govt pledges to debate Lokpal Bill in House before March 30

With Opposition in the Rajya Sabha insisting on an immediate resumption of a debate on the Lokpal and Lokayukta Bill, the government on Wednesday said that it would bring it for further discussion during the first part of the Budget Session of Parliament (by March 30). However, it said that the discussion would be initiated only after other businesses like the Motion of Thanks to the President's address and passing of both General and Rail Budgets.
On Wednesday, Bansal, however, said the Lokpal and the Lokayukta Bills topped the agenda during the first half of the Budget session that ends on March 30. He said that the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address would be taken up first, followed by passing of General and Rail Budget and then the Lokpal Bill would be discussed.
Replying to a notice given by Leader of the Opposition Arun Jaitley seeking suspension of the Question Hour to resume debate on the Bill, parliamentary affairs minister P K Bansal said the government has studied the 187 amendments moved by both Opposition and allies in UPA-II since debate on the Bill was adjourned after the House was adjourned sine die on December 27.
Bansal disagreed with Jaitley, who had cited Rule 257 to state that discussion on Lokpal Bill has to be taken up since it remained inconclusive when the House was adjourned sine die. "There are other bills which we deferred...which were not concluded," Bansal said.

Jaitley quoted Rule 257 to state that the chairman if he deems necessary can adjourn the proceedings of the House for a timeframe to be decided by him. "The debate cannot be indefinitely abandoned."

Team Anna to fast for passage of Lokpal (in rajaya sabha)

CONTENTS of Fast:  :-For passage of Lokpal (in rajaya sabha)
:-For improvement of Whistle Blower's(police.etc) protection.

Anna Hazare and his team will observe a one-day fast in Delhi at Jantar Mantar
March 25  to demand parliament pass the Lokpal bill which has been earlier chocked in Rajaya Sabha. Earlier Fast was planned to occur on  Sunday (March 17).
Team Anna
has invited the families of several whistleblowers like that of Nrandra Kumar (IPS officer allegedly killed by a politician)
to join them for the fast.
 Hazare has demanded a stronger
whistle blower(police etc.)  protection programme under the Jan Lokpal Bill. |Recently, killing IPS officer Narandra Kumar who was honest, is evident that whistle blower protection is not healthy in country.|

Hazare's move is in response to the killings of whistleblowers who have tried to reveal corruption and scams. According to Hazare, an effective Lokpal would ensure that justice was carried out.

Anna will launch a country wide Tour for JanLokpal

Social activist Anna Hazare on Monday said he will begin his countrywide tour to campaign for an effective Jan Lokpal bill after two months. "I will start my countrywide tour after two months and awaken the people to demand for a strong Jan Lokpal by 2014. If it does not come, then back to Ramlila Maidan," Hazare's close associate Suresh Pathare quoted him as saying on social networking site Twitter.
"I will not go to government for demanding the Jan Lokpal. The decision has been left to the people," Pathare tweeted quoting Hazare.
Editor's View: Well if Team Anna is planning of a new movement then this time it should take careful moves , because last time Anna agitated in MMRDA ground in Mumbai and Mumbai begin a busy and traffic congested city was unable to respond as desired. Many people thought that this was Anna's failure but in actual manner it was failure of proper planning and not of Anna.( ||SeeMore |||||SeeMore 2|| )

Team Anna to protest killing of IPS officer Narendra Kumar

Team Anna will launch a three-day fast in Bhopal from Tuesday to protest against the death of IPS officer Narendra Kumarand demanding a strong law to protect whistleblowers(police.etc.)
The activists also asked Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to immediately pass the Lokayukta bill in the state (see more about Powerless condition of lokpal made by states on the lines of the one enacted in Uttarakhand.
In a tweet,  targeting lawmakers MPs Kejriwal said, "When Sharad Pawar was slapped, Parliament mourned for two hours. Let's see for how many hours does it discuss Narendra Kumar's death."

"Team Anna believes that the political parties are deliberately raking up the war of words for two reasons -- to scuttle justice to the family of the braveheart who single-handedly took on the mafia patronized by politicians and keep the much needed stringent whistleblowers protection law as propounded in the Jan Lokpal bill in cold storage," the statement said.

Editor's View: IPS officer Narendra Kumar, nicknamed as DABANG for his brave fight with mining mafia was surely shot by politicized bullet, and hence  Narendra Kumar is one for whom we must raise our voice, because he raised his voice bravely and honestly against corrupt mining. We all must demand justice for his soul, because Police offices like Narandra kumar are rarely found in our county

Lokpal to be tabled in parliament in budget seasion

Discussions on lokpal bill are likey to occur in parliament (Rajay Sabha) on Tuesday (13 Mar, 2012)
Bjp is demanding for this discussion . However, Government plans to take up DISCUSSION in the second part of the Budget Session beginning April 24.So there is a contradiction of schedule between BJp and Congress on this matter.Discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President for her address to Parliament is on the agenda for tomorrow.

Opposite stands

  •  Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said that the priority for the government was to get the Vote on Account passed by March 30 and Bills like the Lokpal Bill will be taken up in the second part.
  • Close on the heels of Bansal's statement, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said he would move a motion for suspension of Question Hour in the Upper House tomorrow for discussion on Lokpal Bill.

Team Anna wants Congress to reveal poll campaign expenses

Arvind Kejriwal asked the former to reveal details of Rahul Gandhi's poll campaign expenses.

           _
Kejriwal tweeted: "Election is over, and Diggi Raja should now give details of the expenses by Rahul Gandhi on         helicopters and campaigning in the UP elections."

(In reply)-_
Digvijay Singh said: "If they (Team Anna) can spend 36 lakhs in their days long campaign then he can well imagine how much we must have spent in our month-long rallies."
Singh further said expense reports would be submitted to the Election Commission and not to Kejriwal as he was against the Congress Party.  Anna Hazare said: "So, what wrong has Arvind Kejriwal said? Transparency should be there."

Editor's view: Well of course there should be declaration of expanses by any political party (weather congress or bjp) before public as over expanses by political parties are not permitted by our election's 'code of conduct'  Moreover Team Anna is not a political party and hence its free to spend 36 lakhs, and big thing is , at least T.Anna declared what they expanded. T. Anna has, whenever asked declared his account status, what about politicians!

Manish Sisodia also failed to cast his vote

After Arvind Kejriwal(see) , Manish Sisodia emerged as the second Team Anna member who did not exercise his franchise in the UP Assembly elections from Shahibabad, where he is a registered voter.
Sisodia said he could not vote yesterday(Feb,28) as he was in Goa for a programme which he said was fixed a month before.
“It is better that I was not in Sahibabad on the polling day otherwise I would have filled up the 49-0 form in the polling booth for disliking the candidates and political parties,” Sisodia said.
I did not like any nominee in the Sahibabad constituency as none of them was with a clean image, he said.
“There is no provision of right to reject, which is a must for an honest voter,” he said.

He also defended Kejriwal for his statement on the Parliament, saying when MPs take money for asking questions in the House or currency notes are shown to prove corruption of the government or porn films are seen in the Assembly, does sanctity of the Parliament remains intact then?

Editor's View: Its true that there is absence of genuine candidates to vote for, moreover Team Anna is also busy and this fact can't be ignored. Yet not voting of Team Anna's members is loosening the support for them. So only for symbolic activity , they should somehow cast their votes.
