Anna in Gurgaon hospital ICU,likely be discharged in a day or two

Anna Hazare was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of private hospital (medanta-the medicity) in Gurgaon on Friday(7, DEC 2012) morning after he complained of cough,acidity and weakness. 

Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal spread the news of his ill health on a social networking website.

"Anna is admitted in Medanta and under intensive care of a team of doctors. What are the health issues only doctors can say as professionals!" Bedi said around noon on Friday.

"Anna in hospital. I wish I cud go to see him. I wish him fast recovery," Kejrival said around the same time.

Anna Hazare  is recovering and will be discharged in a day or two, a doctor said on Saturday.

"Anna is not under stress at present. A team of doctors led by Naresh Trehan is keeping close watch on medical reports of Anna. He is better than Friday. Hopefully he will allowed to go home in a day or two," said K.L. Sehgal, a senior doctor of Medicity Medanta, 

"He is recovering and his vitals are stable. He was given food on the directions of a nutritionist. He needs more rest,"Sehgal continued 

In a message to his supporters from the in the intensive care unit, Hazare said: "I'm recovering and will soon meet the activists from January. I will go for awareness campaign across the country as scheduled."

Editor's View: Its great that Anna Ji is recovering but its a shame that there was no news broadcasted  on TV channels about Anna's admitting in ICU and his health conditions. TV media didn't even mentioned his conditions, its a pity!

New Team Anna:Complete Report on New members and ideologies

Background 
Nearly two months Anna Hazare parted his ways from Arvind Kejrival. Because Anna wanted non-political campaigns while Kejirival decided to form a political alternative a new party other than BJP or congress). Later Anna announced that he has no problem with Kejrival and his ways as both ways ends at lokpal, he parted only because he didn't wanted to be a part of political organisation.

Main Story
Anna Hazare today(Sat,Nov 13) announced that his anti-corruption movement had never been called off, but it would now be led by a new 13-member team that will rigorously tour the country from January next year.

Hazare announced the 15-member Coordination Committee, which has erstwhile Team Anna’s members Justice (Retd) Santosh Hegde, Kiran Bedi, Medha Patkar, Akhil Gogoi, Sunita Godara, Arvind Gaur, Shivendra Singh Chauhan and Rakesh Rafiq.

The new faces in the committee are former DGP (Punjab) Shashikant, former IAS officer Avinash Dharmadhikari, Lt Col Brijendra Khokhar, Ran Singh Arya, activist Akshay Kumar and agri expert Vishambhar Chaudhary.

The first list of members does not have names like that of the former Army chief or activists P V Rajagopal and ‘Waterman’ Rajinder Singh and agriculture expert Devender Sharma.

Anna declares his future plans

Anna and former army chief General VK Singh, who in Mumbai on Monday(Oct 29), addressed the media declaring their 'Andolan' plans in which now Gen V.K Singh will also participate as Team member.They announced that Team Anna(reformed) will start campaigning  from January 30, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Until then, Anna will scout for people willing to join his team to trudge across the nation to help people select “right political candidates” for the 2014 general elections.

Gen VK Singh demanded immediate dissolution of Parliament and elections in the country saying that government is "anti-people" and that it is "bending" before the corporates.
"The government is snatching food and work. People must act, otherwise nothing will be left. Why is the government silent on black money? The government has surrendered to the market. The government is against the constitution. We demand that parliament should be dissolved," General Singh said.

Both of then attacked both BJP and congress for not taking the corruption seriously 
Anna also attacked Modi saying that  if Modi was against corruption, he should have introduced the Lokayukta(state version of Lokpal)  in his state.
Anna further reiterated the need for stronger laws while demanding judicial inquiry in recent allegations against BJP national president Nitin Gadkari. “People earn money for seven generations and go to jail for a few months. We need stronger laws to deter people,” he said.

"People should choose the new government. Both the ruling party and opposition are silent over corruption issues. The government should come clear on how they want to run the government; on the market demands or on the constitution," Gen said.

SEPT's report (20 Sept-1 OCT ):

• Anna on Sept 20 officially spited from Khejrival and team (who want political alternative) . He opposed the decision of the Kejriwal-led group to form a political party.and barred them from using his name or photograph anymore.

• In short Team Anna spited into Team Khejrival (consisting Khejrival and Manish Sisodia as prominent members)  and Group Anna(Anna ,Santosh Hegde and Bedi as prominent members).
  
• Anna later clarified that both the political and unpolitical ways leads to the common goal of lokpal , hence both the ways are correct, yet he chooses the non-political.
  "There is nothing wrong with fielding a political party but I will not be a part of it. It has my blessings and we will work towards the common goal of eradicating corruption. If they feel they can get a majority, it is a good thing, but they cannot use my photo or my name... The paths have been separated.” He said at the press conference.
  
• Anna later on 1st October after getting visited by Khejrival and Sisodia widened his philosophy saying that  “There are no differences between Arvind and me”. Anna clarifies that he is not with Khejrival because politics is not in his agenda at all. 
   “If politics was in my life then I should have started with panchayat elections. I have never contested and never will. But I have no objection to Arvind starting a party. If there are any doubtful candidates he puts up, I will point it out.”
  
• Anna further dismissed notions that he had earlier supported the formation of a political party. “I only suggested criteria for which we could choose political candidates to support”, he said.
• Anna also assured during conference that Kejriwal is not a selfish person. “From when I have known Arvind I have never seen him being selfish in any way. He only thinks about society”, he said.
• Anna didn't wanted Khejrival to use Anna's name and image for political promotion because he didn't wanted to be associated to politics  in any sense.

• Khejrival said “The important thing is that we are fighting for the same issue – we both want to end corruption. And there are many ways of doing this – Anna will agitate, I will clean up the political system and Prashant Bhushan takes things to court”,

• September 20 was also controversial for Anna's secret meeting with Ramdev just after the split of the team on the same day.|However, since team was splited Anna was free to meet any one without informing the newly divided Team Khejrival, then how this meeting can be considered secret or cunning ?|
  
  Anna also said in this respect on October 1 announcing that Ramdev had told him that they ought to join forces and travel the country to educate people, and he had told the yoga guru that he would think about it. “If the objective of Ramdev’s agitation is clear then we will join him”. So no clear plan to join Ramdev as yet then."
  
  
• Conclusion:- In short Team Anna got split. Yet Both the sides i.e Team Arvind and Group Anna respect each other's route or manner of the movement ,so we should stop thinking that this split means Anna V/s Khejrival!. Both of them sorted out their differences and decided to pay external support to each other's movement.
  Anna 's plan with Ramdev are still not clear .
  

Editor's View: Its bad that team got split , but there is a bright side as well. The movement for lokpal is now open in both the political (by measn of Team Khejrival) and non-political ways(by means of group Anna).

Anna Hazare today(August 6/2012) wrote on his Blog(named, 'Anna Hazare Says') that the the core committee of team Anna has now been dissolved and will not maintain any talks with the government for lokpal.

 He explained that they have fasted and performed public campaigns, in the last 18 months even then government is not bringing a strong lokpal(see GOVT's lokpal weakness)  .  He has said the time for fasts has ended, and the need of the hour is to give people "a political alternative."  (Anna had earlier clarified that he himself won't join politics)
 He said that the work of Team Anna and its core committee is now done and its time for a political alternative as present politicians of whichever party don't want a corruption free India.He said its better to select gentle people among citizens and encouraging them to enter politics as an alternative.

Team Anna has already said on the last day of their fast (August 3) that the political altarnative thay will provide will not have any high (to select candidates) instead candidates of would be selected by the people of the nation, adding that they would travel across the country to spread awareness. (see more) 

Anna also said the same in his blog. He said that he will tour the country  urging people to select people to fight elections. He said that till promising people of gentle, transparent and clean soul will not enter politics, corruption and other problems won't end.

Anna in his blog, also doubted some questions about the plan of political party LIKE 1) How to select candidates from people and How to ensure their credentials?
2) How to contest elections without spending money (unlike other political parties)?
3) How to enlighten voters to vote on issues and not any other factor (caste/vote bank, alcohol or money)?  etc

Team Anna today(july 29 /2012) is seen maintaining distance from Baba Ramdev who shared dais with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, describing Modi as a "murderer of humanity"

Suggesting uneasiness in Team Anna over association with Ramdev in their anti-corruption agitation, its member Sanjay Singh described Modi as a "murderer of humanity" and said Ramdev has to explain why he shared the dais with the BJP leader.
We were never in agreement with Modi. We are not in agreement with Modi now also. Narendra Modi is a murderer of humanity.

• On the 5th day of fast of Team Anna (Sunday) Anna Hazare also began his fast
• A large number of people gathered at the fast venue on Saturday and even larger number of people around  six to eight thousand gathered at Jantar Mantar on the weekends on Sunday, as Anna began his fast. On Sunday a very big amount of people also gathered at India gate and performed candle march.| It was already predicted by Janlokpal bill Center that the real excitement and involvement of the public will be seen on weekend(Sat and Sun) because even the people who go to their jobs or school or collages are able to participate during holidays.|

• Baba Ramdev today(july 27) joined Team Anna's indefinite fast on the third day of the agitation.Ramdev with 2,000 supporters marched from Ramlila Maidan to fast venue of Jantar Mantar. 
•  At the backdrop of the stage from the pictures of 15 ministers against whom proofs of being corrupt are presented , photo of  Pranab Mukherjee is now totally covered with a paper over it, because him being president of nation.
• Health of Khejrival (who is diabetic) and Manish Sisodia has been bad on the second day of the fast.
• Its a common observation that the turnout of crowd is more during the evening(>1000) then in the morning and afternoon(around(200) |because these are working hours for common people|
• However, in Ramdev's Presence  around 3,000 people had collected at the venue.
•  Ramdev would continue to support the Anna Hazare movement however he is against personal attacks on anyone.

Editor's View
Turnout is said to be failure by the mass media.But Its not the failure, instead is the wrong planning to choose the fast date and day by T.Anna.Team Anna began their campaign on a working day. Till now (firday) its the working day. So people with jobs are unable to participate in the working hours(morning and afternoon) .
This is clear from the point that crowd is more during the evening(>1000) then in the morning and afternoon(around 200) because these are working hours for common people.So we should wait for weekends(Sat and Sun) for real turnout.
Moreover, Anna will also start his fast from Sunday!

Team Anna began their indefinite fast at Delhi's Jantar Mantar today(julf 25 ,2012)  to highlight the corruption within the government and to push for the anti-graft Lokpal Bill. Arvind Khejrival, Manish Sisodia, , Gopal Rai ,Akhil Gogoi sat on fast from today. However Anna Hazare despite the medical warnings  will begin fasting from Sunday(29).

 The backdrop of the stage has photographs of the Prime Minister and 14 other ministers against whom T.Anna presented proofs of corruption and want a SIT(Special Investigation TEAM) instead of CBI to dig in their cases.The photo of Pranab Mukerji whose name is also included in list of 15 ministers for Ghana Rice Export Scam and who is now president of nation was however covered with a cloth by Team Anna.
Kejriwal alleged that the Congress has "put a chadar (veil)" to protect the former finance minister. 
In a Press Conference at Delhi yesterday, Team Anna clarified their stands  and said that their protest is limited to three demands which are as follows

1. A SIT probe against 15 Ministers(click here to know more)
2.  Team Anna also demanded that cases of  162 Lok Sabha members and 39 Rajya Sabha members(of whichever party) who are also facing corruption charges  should be given to the fast track courts
3. SIT to go into allegations against party chiefs.

• Team Anna will also use the fast  to share evidence collected against the ministers it has accused of graft. 

"According to the  Constitution, the President has immunity against any investigation. We have given evidence against Mukherjee to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi two months ago," Khejrival said.

Government's Reply

 Law Minister Salman Khurshid suggested the activists should "write to the United Nations."  He said, "They want an  independent probe into matters which have been rejected and disapproved by the Supreme Court."

Fight at the venue 
There was a fight at the venue in the morning, when a group of 15-20 people shouted slogans against Kejriwal. According to Team Anna they were members of the Congress' youth wing, the NSUI. The party has denied this. 

Turnout Fast has got an good reaction but the turnout today was small compared to the sort of crowds Anna gathered last August, when he held a 16-day long hunger strike in Delhi to demand new legislation to tackle corruption.

Congress, BJP, SP, All are corrupt, hence not passing Lokpal Bill: Kejriwal

 Arvind Kejriwal has said all the political parties are "dipped in corruption" and hence not allowing the Lokpal Bill to get passed."Political parties like Congress, BJP, SP and BSP are dipped in corruption and are trying hard not to get Lokpal Bill passed," he said at a public meeting on July 12. "Corrupt officials have deposited a sum of Rs 1,76,000 crore in their foreign accounts from public money," Kejriwal claimed.

Delhi Police denies T.Anna permission to fast at Jantar Mantar

Delhi police has posted a hurdle to Team Anna's proposed fast at Jantar Mantar from July 25  by rejecting the Team's Plea to use Jantar Mantar as arena of the fast.

Police denied Team Anna from fasting at Jantar Mantar from July 25 to Aug 8.Delhi police justified this denial saying that fast could not be allowed at the venue due to Monsoon session of Parliament.Police however offered to discuss and arrive at "a mutually acceptable arrangement" to allow the protest. 

In reply to the Team Anna's letter,  additional commissioner of police A.K. Dwivedi, wrote:

 "The permission to hold a fast at Jantar Mantar continuously from July 25 to August 8 cannot be acceded to... This office may be contacted for a mutually acceptable arrangement."
Dwivedi further said, "a gathering larger than the capacity is vulnerable to stampede and other security related issues".

Editor's View: Sometimes it truly appears that police is behaving as Remote Control (RC) of government and   muscle power for the corrupt politics. Earlier on august 16 2011 Anna was sent to Tihar when he didn't accepted the Police's denial.Baba Ramdev's campaign was also met with a police clash in the mid night.Now again police is trying to resist and deny another campaign. Police's will to hush-hush democratic campaigns is not a sign of democracy at all!

Reality is present system is sufficient for those who have influence and Rupee, but is HIGHLY insufficient for non-creamy layer!
So if PMO sorts out sufficiency out of this retarded system then they should be of course considered with suspicion of being either corrupt or nuts!

Government's Letter To T.Anna

Today(june 9 ,2012) a letter from Prime Minister's Office(PMO) was sent in the name of Team Anna.


Main Points of the letter

• Government Rejected  demands of Team Anna to set up a Special Investigation Team to probe allegations of corruption against Cabinet ministers and establishing fast-track courts to hear charges against them, saying the present system was sufficient to deal with such issues as well as saying that proof given is not sufficient. However, letter states  that government has considered his(Anna's) demand for a SIT and the suggested terms of reference.
• Letter also says  that allegations were levelled based on the “leaked” draft of a CAG report and media reports.

• Letter also clarified that  government has “not at all” interfered with functioning of agencies like Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), 
• Letter from PMO said Mr. Hazare’s impression about CBI and its functioning is wrong.
• The PMO also rejected Mr. Hazare’s contention that the Supreme Court, High Courts and CAG had on several occasions have charged the ministers with wrong doings. 

In Reply Team Anna has said  that their indefinite fast from July 25 will go on as planned and alleged that the government was playing with words and has left questions unanswered on the issue of corruption.

Team Anna charges 15 UPA ministers with corruption‎

Team Anna on Saturday (May 26, 2012) charged 15 UPA ministers with corruption‎ charges. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and finance minister Pranab Mukherjee for first time in corruption cases. 

In a letter to PM signed by Anna, Kiran Bedi, Shanti Bhushan and Manish Sisodia , Team Anna demanded  the government set up an independent special investigation team by July 24.

Kejriwal said all documents in support of the charges had been submitted to the PM, who has also been asked to order a probe into allegations against Hazare’s aides. The letter has also been signed by Kiran Bedi, Shanti Bhushan and Manish Sisodia. 
Team Anna cited portions of a draft the CAG’s report to bring charges against Singh when coal ministry was with him. They had never made allegations against the Prime Minister before. 

Team Anna also threatened that it would begin an indefinite fast from the next day if the government failed to meet the deadline set of initiating the probe. 

“We will now wait till July 24 to see what the government does. What we have demanded is only an independent probe into the allegations,” said Hazare associate Arvind Kejriwal.

However,Congress party dismissed team Anna’s charges, saying such unsubstantiated allegations did not deserve a response.

External affairs minister SM Krishna has already confirmed that he will file a defamation suit against team Anna. Team Anna said it was prepared to face any legal action the government and ruling party might want to take.

Team Anna to fast from July 25

As soon as lokpal bill was once again referred to a parliamentary committee by Rajya Sabha, Team Anna accused government of betraying the people once again and delaying Lokpal Bill’s passage as well as announced another indefinite fast at Jantar Mantar from July 25.
However, Anna Hazare due to his poor health won't fast but will guide the team and only Team Anna members will fast this time. Anna will only  Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai and Akhil Gogoi  {Gogoi is already on hunger strike since May 19, in support of the anti-dam protests}  will sit on indefinite fast.

The decision about members of Team Anna sitting on indefinite fast has been taken because Anna is not in great shape after several fasts in last one year. So, it was decided that this time team would sit on fast. At present, it is confirmed that at least four members would sit on fast. The number can increase.“It doesn’t mean Anna would not be there. Anna would be there but he would only sit for the agitation. He would guide the team all along,” the source added.

The team would also be demanding a special independent investigation against 14 cabinet ministers of the Congress-led UPA-II, in the absence of an independent agency like Lokpal

Anna will will not tour with Ramdev.

Earlier on April 20(2012) at a press conference Anna and Ramdev had announced about their joint campaigns and tours. 
There was an unease within Team Anna and in public about Anna-Ramdev joint tours and rallies.
So Anna Hazare on Monday said he will not tour with Baba Ramdev,  He and Ramdev will share stage wherever they meet during their all-India tour. However, there will be no joint tour.

“I have told you before that we (me and Ramdev) are not touring together, but we are fighting for the same purpose of getting black money and the Lokpal and Lokayukta bills. We shall stand together and share the same stage wherever needed,” Hazare told reporters.
Team Anna member and lawyer Prashant Bhushan said, "We have begun a movement against corruption and on that pretext, Ramdev supports us but we have no common platform or any consensus.”  

New schedule 

1. Hazare  would undertake a tour of Maharashtra from May 1 to mobilise public opinion on the issue of having a strong "Lokayukta" in every state.  
2. After Maharashtra tour he will start his countrywide tour by the end of June.
3. Ramdev will also perform a countrywide tour, however this will not be joint to Anna's tour.
4. Ramdev and Anna may share stage whenever needed or  when they meet during their tours

This decision by T.Anna will prove a life-jacket to the campaign which was sinking due decision of Anna-Ramdev joint campaign.
Anna-Ramdev joint campaign was wrong because more people support Anna than Ramdev. So those who oppose Ramdev but support Anna may not support Anna-Ramdev bond. Hence, this decision is truly lifesaving to the campaign.

Team Anna Attacked BJP for its weak Lokayukta bill in HP.

Recently passed Lokayukta Bill for Himachal Pradesh(ruled by BJP) faced thorns from Team Anna.
Team Anna said that Himachal's Lokayukta is 'very weak and ineffective' and proves that both BJP and congress have same weak and corrupt concepts about LOKPAL. Team Anna also raised questions  'about BJP's commitment in fighting corruption'

• Arvind Khegrival said that  "it appears BJP and Congress were on the same page on the legislation."
•  Khegrival  also asked whether BJP was disowning the "strong" law passed by a BJP-led government in Uttarakhand earlier this year by bringing such a bill in the state.
• He further said   "The Bill is very weak, ineffective and seeks to provide illegitimate protection to corrupt people rather than punish them. "
• He said that  this weak bill by HP could undo the powerful bill passed by Uttranchal. "Instead of adopting the model provided by Uttarakhand, the Himachal Pradesh government has adopted by Congress. This raises questions about BJP's commitment in fighting corruption," he said.

This attack on BJP prompted BJP  to cancel a meeting in New Delhi on Monday with the group's key member Arvind Kejriwal.

Editor's View;  In simple words, this is a slap to those who think that Team Anna is agent of rss or bjp, because Team Anna is now blaming BJP more that congress. Its true that TA blamed congress early when lokpal was in lokshaba, because in lokshaba congress was in majority and hence pressure on congress was needed, now as soon as lokpal is in Rajaya Sabha, BJP and other parties who have majority in Rajaya Sabha are facing blames and questions by TA. And its  truly constructional to bring pressure on politicians to make them listen to DEMANDS

Differences remain on Lokpal Bill; no consensus on creation of Lokayuktas

In All party meeting on March 23 the difference on the Lokayukta matter remained stagnant. Opposition is saying that a forced Lokayukta on sates would destroy federal structure and right of state governments.Parties like  BJP,  CPM  and Trinamool  are saying that Lokayukta bill prepared by states will go in vein if  center's  Lokayukta bill is imposed on them. .{ Lokayukta in simple words is state-level Lokpal/corruption watchdog}

So Lokpal Bill is likely to be amended to remove the portion on creation of Lokayuktas in states. All-party meeting saw the entire Opposition and a section of UPA - Trinamool Congress, DMK, NCP and the National Conference - opposing the Lokayukta provision in the bill.  The meeting was attended by leaders of 20 parties, all of whom are members of the Rajya Sabha, besides the prime minister and finance minister Pranab Mukherjee

With the first half of the budget session of Parliament drawing to a close on March 30, there will be very little time to take up a discussion on the bill in the Upper House, especially as there are still major differences on contentious clauses. It is expected that a resumption of the debate will, therefore, be taken up only during the post-recess period. 
Editor's View: All the parties are now showing their true colors, weather BJP or congress. Both opposition and majority are putting hurdles on the implementation of the bill. Opposition like bjp demanded and supported a center Lokpal but when it came to sate level lokpal(i.e lokayukta) then they are showing bad faces, bjp is doing this because is more prominent in states and hence its corrupt deeds may come before people after passage of a state level lokpal.
All the politician class is same, when they have to pass a increase in their salary then there is a consensus but when they have to pass an anti-corruption bill then there is two sided and foggy attitude.SHAME ON US that we elected such non-sense

Team Anna to fast for passage of Lokpal (in rajaya sabha)

CONTENTS of Fast:  :-For passage of Lokpal (in rajaya sabha)                     
:-For improvement of Whistle Blower's(police.etc) protection.

Anna Hazare and his team will observe a one-day fast in Delhi at Jantar Mantar March 25  to demand parliament pass the Lokpal bill which has been earlier chocked in Rajaya Sabha. Earlier Fast was planned to occur on  Sunday (March 17).
Team Anna has invited the families of several whistleblowers like that of Nrandra Kumar (IPS officer allegedly killed by a politician)   to join them for the fast.
 Hazare has demanded a stronger whistle blower(police etc.)  protection programme under the Jan Lokpal Bill. |Recently, killing IPS officer Narandra Kumar who was honest, is evident that whistle blower protection is not healthy in country.|

Hazare's move is in response to the killings of whistleblowers who have tried to reveal corruption and scams. According to Hazare, an effective Lokpal would ensure that justice was carried out.

Anna will launch a country wide Tour for JanLokpal

Social activist Anna Hazare on Monday said he will begin his countrywide tour to campaign for an effective Jan Lokpal bill after two months. "I will start my countrywide tour after two months and awaken the people to demand for a strong Jan Lokpal by 2014. If it does not come, then back to Ramlila Maidan," Hazare's close associate Suresh Pathare quoted him as saying on social networking site Twitter. 
"I will not go to government for demanding the Jan Lokpal. The decision has been left to the people," Pathare tweeted quoting Hazare. 
Editor's View: Well if Team Anna is planning of a new movement then this time it should take careful moves , because last time Anna agitated in MMRDA ground in Mumbai and Mumbai begin a busy and traffic congested city was unable to respond as desired.Many people thought that this was Anna's failure but in actual manner it was failure of proper planning and not of Anna.( ||SeeMore |||||SeeMore 2|| )
