AAP protests at PM's house against amendments in RTI

Government has decided to amend RTI act to exclude political parties from its ambit saying that political parties are not public authorities and, hence, this law does not apply to them. 
The Cabinet has also approved an amendment to Section 2(h) of the RTI Act regarding exclusion of political parties.



Aam Admi Party has cleared that it supports Political parties to come under RTI.

Therefore today(Aug,4,2013) AAP started the #SaveRTI campaign and its activist protested against this amendment outside the 
PM's house( 
at 7, Race Course Road.)

These activist were  beaten up by the police.
NCPRI (National Campaign for people's Right to Information) also started an e-petition against this amendment using which you may write to PM to stop this amendment Click here to file petition an e-petition
