Fast report -7 (FINAL)

• Team Anna today (3 august ) ended its10 day long fast.
• Team Anna(apart from Anna Hazare) as announced yesterday will form an alternative(other then BJP ,congress and others) political party.Anna will not fight election.
• Today Khejrival, after several criticisms from congress on joining politics, declared that if strong versions of bills like janlokpal, citizen charter, RIR(Right to Reject) etc will be implemented by government in the next 2 years then THEY(Team Anna) WILL NOT FIGHT ANY ELECTION.
• Team Anna said that party would not have any high command(to select candidates) instead candidates of would be selected by the people of the nation, adding that they would travel across the country to spread awareness. 
• Team Anna member also asked the people to suggest a name for their political party, urging students to become a part of the political movement.
• Team Anna also asked some question from public which are as follows.
   1) How to select candidates from people and How to ensure their credentials?
  2) How to contest elections without spending money (unlike other political parties)?
  3) How to enlighten voters to vote on issues and not any other factor (caste/vote bank, alcohol or money)?

• Earlier Anna has said that  team will probe their background and then put their names on Internet seeking people's opinion about them.
• IAC  has also asked people  "Should Anna provide a political alternative? SMS Yes or No at 9212472681 " to get reactions of people.
• This time Anna's fast was broken by Gen VK Singh who reached Jantar Mantar for same.

Reactions:-

1. Former Army Chief General VK Singh has congratulated Team Anna for fighting against corruption, supporting their decision to provide a political option to the people. Addressing the gathering at Jantar Mantar, Singh said," There are many problems in the country, one of that is black money...the governance is finished and we are directionless."
   
2. While congress alleged that they already knew the political motive of Team Anna , other parties welcomed Team's decision.
   
   
3. Swami Agnivesh criticized this decision of breaking indefinite fast "Anna has broken the sanctity of 'anshan' (fast). Anshan is always the last option. This is a black day," Agnivesh said.
   
4. Mixed reactions are coming from the supporters of Anna.

Editor's View: JanlokpalBill Center(JLBC) Supports Team Anna's decision of giving a political alternative because government and even opposition will never give a desired and strong lokpal by themselves.
However, JLBC didn't like the way  team Anna ended their indefinite fast, if they were going to give political alternative then they should not have started a  fast till death , and as they started a fast till death they should not end it like this giving health reasons! We want Team Anna to be careful next time, because when they fast, public's emotions comes with them and if they will suspend their fasts like this then if will hurt people's emotions.
