Anna called Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani's proposed yatra a "gimmick". Anna Hazare said on Tuesday that he was willing to back a clean political party formed by "good" and "likeminded" people of different political parties. Anna, who spoke to television channels at Ralegan Sidhi, insisted he would not join politics though he would definitely campaign against those who oppose the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Asked if he would join any political yatra, including Advani's, Anna shot back: "Absolutely not. If BJP says that they support Anna then they should bring Lokayukta bill in their states. First bring Lokayukta and then (ask for) support." He added that he and his team would support BJP only if it backs "Jan Lokpal" in its entirety in Parliament.
